Actuate Reports Developer - Philadelphia, PA

Location: PA
Full Time Salaried Position Paying up to $80,000

Our largest client is seeking a Reports Developer to create reports and perform analysis and work with various teams to deliver requirements.

Actuate Version 8

* Volume administration and maintenance
* Ability to troubleshoot server issues without assistance from Actuate support
* Ability to develop and troubleshoot dynamic reports
* Strong VB 6 syntax and programming knowledge
* Intermediate java knowledge
* Knowledge of Actuate services (encyclopedia, factory, message, view)

SQL Server 2000/2005/2008

* Ability to create and troubleshoot stored procedures, views, functions, and tables.
* Basic knowledge of administration (permissions, linked servers, etc.)

SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008

* Ability to develop and troubleshoot complex report designs
* Understanding of windows domain group and privileges associated to reports
* Strong VBA knowledge
* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio

SQL Server Developer - Philadelphia, PA

Contract: 6-12 months

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience with SQL 2000/2005, DTS, Stored procedures. 80% of the DBA's role is development while 20% is traditional administration. Candidates must have some hands-on experience with SQL, T-SQL, VB Script, Java Script, XML and XHTML. Knowledge or experience working in a .NET framework is a plus.

Additional Duties will Include:
* Performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL server performance issues.
* ETL processing of flat file data from multiple sources into a normalized database environment for online presentation for B2C and B2B customers.
* Importation of mass data feeds via DTS and Data Junction data imports from multiple locations.
* Installation, configuration, and data migration of SQL server environments.
* Production support team lead for all SQL environments

Technical Environment:
* Microsoft Environment
* Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 Framework
* Code will be developed in VB.NET, among other web scripting languages.
* Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
